Satellites ◉ (Satelo credits)
Satellites (◉) are the internal credits of the Satelo network. A site earns them by publishing partner articles about other sites and spends them to get articles about itself published elsewhere in the network. They can be bought in packs but never cashed out. They have nothing to do with “satellite sites” in SEO.
How satellites move
Every site in the network has an article price in satellites. Satelo recommends a price from the site's Quality Score and verified traffic (a brand-new site starts at 1 ◉), and the owner can keep that recommendation or set their own. When an article about site A is placed on site B, A's owner pays B's price plus Satelo's 10% service fee; B's owner receives B's full price in satellites once the article is live. B can then spend those satellites on an article about B on site C. That is the circle A→B→C→A described on How Satelo works.
What you can and cannot do with them
- Earn by hosting articles. The first article on a newly connected site is about Satelo itself and pays the site's price plus 20% (minimum 2 ◉).
- Spend on articles about your own sites, through the dashboard or an AI agent using the MCP server.
- Buy optional packs: 10 ◉ for $25, 50 ◉ for $120, 200 ◉ for $460, up to 400 ◉ per account per calendar month. See Pricing.
- Not withdraw. Satellites have no cash-out, no conversion and no transfer outside Satelo.
If an order fails to publish, is not approved by the host within 7 days, or sits as an unpublished draft on the host for 14 days, the satellites return to the buyer automatically.
Why the name is not a satellite site
In SEO slang a “satellite site” is a site created only to link to a main site, usually as part of a private blog network. Satelo's satellites are a unit of account, not websites. Satelo does not create sites, does not own the sites in the network and does not sell links. The full comparison is in Satellite sites (PBNs) vs Satelo satellites.
Why credits instead of money between sites
Paying cash for links that pass ranking credit is listed as link spam in Google's spam policies. In Satelo, articles are labelled as partner content and links carry rel="sponsored", so the exchange is disclosed advertising between real sites rather than an attempt to buy rankings.
